A tantalising glimpse at the April edition of Time Out, Istanbul. Right at the bottom there’s a tiny headline for Pat Yale’s article, the Best of Expat Literature. I’m in it. I don’t know what Pat has written as I haven’t yet got my grubby hands on a copy. I’m spending so much time hanging around my garden gate for the postie, passers-by think I’m soliciting. Well, if the book doesn’t sell…
Cool! Didn’t know Istanbul had a Time Out! I want to go there!

And it great that it’s published in English as well as Turkish. Istanbul is amazing. Not Turkey at all. A country on its own (like London, really).

Is Time Out an English language mag for expats? We have something similar here in Italy called “Easy Milano” (if, in fact, Time Out is what I think it is…)

Hi Garrett. Time Out is a weekly city guide – culture, events, restaurants, gay guide etc. Time Out London is THE guide to what’s on in London (where it started) and now there’s Time Out New York, Paris and a few others. The Istanbul edition is published in Turkish and English.

I take it you’ll be reporting back once you’ve got a copy?! Next stop London edition once you’re back in the UK.
