This afternoon, Liam decided to try out a new recipe: fig tart with crushed almonds. Yum. As he ground the almonds, Liam asked me if I’d like a cuppa. I replied ‘I’d rather talk to the almond than the almond grinder.’ How we laughed.
What do you do with figs?
You can read more on Liam’s developing culinary skills on:

Cut open the tops and put some soft feta cheese inside. Drizzle with olive oil and roast until cheese is melted.
Delish! We’ll give it a try.
Oh wow!
I guess that would work with tulum. And it’s Wednesday market tomorrow….
you’re being lewd . . I think. Otherwise I gobble them down ‘crudo’ ;-D
Aromatic fig and chicken curry, my own recipe (which I could give you but then I’d have to kill you).
We adore it: Pedro, our esteemed neighbour, chucks at the mere mention of it.
Interesting Italian fact: In Italy, the female sexual organ is often referred to as the fig (“la figa”) … I guess there is sort of a resemblance …
I personally, am not really into either one! ;.)
I guess it’s the sweet and juicy analogy. Not for me either though. of course, I adore the fairer sex!
Hmm Jack. Don´t get that one, and want to laugh too so could you explain?
Now Mo. Behave 😉
Read it again but can´t “fig” ure it out, honest!
I “fig” ured it out by getting a visual. Never a dull moment over there. Were you born with an etymological and metaphorical IV drip attached? Fabulous.
soak dried figs in red wine and brown sugar for an hour until they plump up, stick a walnut on top then in the oven for about 20 mins until hot and the wine and sugar have gone thick. dollop of cream, taste like mini xmas puds.
Sounds fantastic!
